WHAT’S
THE RAVEN READING GIVING?
This year,
I’ve invited six of my favorite intuitives
and healers to weigh in on what they think
is the Best Book to Give this holiday season.
Click on their names for more on their wonderful
selves – and to order these books from
THE best bookstore on the planet, click on
our top contributor to be taken to New
Visions Books of York PA. I adore the store
and its owners, Bill Trivett and Bob Hall – who
also happen to be the promoters of the Celebration
of Life! Expo, where you can find me every
second weekend in August. Happy Holidays!

BILL
TRIVETT (Astrologer and metaphysical
visionary): For me, it’s The
Kybalion: A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy
of Ancient Egypt and Greece by
Three Initiates. It’s actually mentioned
in The Lost Symbols by Dan Brown. It was
originally written in 1912 but is actually
believed to be information given by Hermes
Trismegistus. It’s been recently
reissued in a very user friendly form.
There’s a rhyme and reason to the
Universe and this book details it via the
Seven Hermetic Principles. Frankly, a person’s
entire spiritual practice can be based
on those seven main beliefs. The Kybalion
could be the only book you ever read and
you would have a wonderful life. Just goes
to prove that the old mysteries are resurfacing
and coming to us at this time when we can
take the information and change our lives
with it.

CAROLINE
FOOTE (Reiki master and nutritionist):
For my family and myself, Nourishing
Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges
Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet
Dictocrats by Dr. Sally Fallon
is the one book that stands out for 2010.
This is a nutritional cookbook that explains
why animal fats and cholesterol are vital
factors in the human diet, necessary for
reproduction and normal growth, proper
function of the brain and nervous system,
protection from disease and optimum energy
levels. Even though I purchased my first
copy of this book in 2007, it took me until
this past year to fully integrate it and
its teachings. From vital, nutritional
information to great recipes this book
is a must have for everyone, cooks and
non-cooks alike!

CORYELLE
KRAMER (Animal communicator):
I swear by The Encyclopedia
of Bach Flower Therapy by
Mechthild Scheffer. It’s written
from a human patient perspective but I
use it all the time for my animal clients,
too. It has beautiful photographs in it
on every flower, lists negative as well
as positive behavior patterns, and gives
you questionnaires if you want to start
doing Bach flower remedies for you or your
friends. I especially love the fact that
it shows you how to make your own Bach
flower essences. I find it truly invaluable.

CRYSTAL
WIND (Certified Tarot Master):
This year I’ve been fascinated by The
Great Shift: Co-creating a New World for
2012 and Beyond. Author Martine
Valleé features channeling by Lee
Carroll (Kryon), Tom Kenyon (the Hathors
and Mary Magdalene) and Patricia Cori (the
High Council of Sirius). The core of this
book talks about how to approach 2012 not
from fear. We have an opportunity in 2012
to increase our degree of enlightenment
if we seize the opportunity to become more
compassionate toward each other. What I
find fascinating about the book is that
it’s channeled information that has
a very positive outlook based on what’s
coming in 2012.

JANET
JACOBS (Complementary wellness
practitioner): I cannot recommend any book
more highly than Caroline Myss’ classic, Anatomy
of the Spirit: The Seven Stages of Power
and Healing. For anyone who
is starting to understand or learn about
energy — how we have different energy
centers and what they represent, how you
can work with them and clear them – this
book is a pure treasure. It’s the
first book that I read that made me go “ah,
I get it!” If you’re wondering
why you continue to do the things you do
and how you can possibly change them, this
is the book for you.

STACI
WELLS (Psychic medium and
medical intuitive): I would give everyone
I know Suzanne Somers’ fabulous book Breakthrough:
Eight Steps to Wellness.
If you want your life to avoid the round
of drugs-drugs-drugs, and grab hold of
the idea that you can make a vital difference
in your quality of life, this is your book.
You are in charge of your life and your
wellbeing, and rather than buy into the
idea that as you get older you have more
and more to fear about your health, learn
the simple things you can do to remain
vibrant for years to come. I especially
applaud her take on bioidentical hormones – both
men and women should know how these safe
compounded formulations can speedily improve
your later years.
