JOURNEY OF SOULS and DESTINY
OF SOULS
by Michael Newton, Ph.D
"What
happens after we die?"
I don't know one human being who has avoided asking themselves that
question. Is it heaven? Hell? Do we go *poof* into the ether like
a candle blowing out, never to have really mattered?
I’ve done a fair amount of work with past lives, and as part
of a book on pre-birth planning, it’s clear to me that we
never stop doing, being, or planning. We always love.
But for those who aren’t sure what happens, or aren’t
satisfied with the answers they have so far, Michael Newton’s
works are treasure troves. In both JOURNEY OF SOULS and DESTINY
OF SOULS, he opens cases from his private practice in which
he hypnotically regressed his clients to a point between lives--after
death, but before birth. He explores many other metaphysical questions
around death, as well: how suicide affects karma, why humans are
so often evil (and what happens to them when they die), and his
understanding, through his work, of the ultimate goal and purpose
of life. This
description of the nature of the universe and our place within
it, fully compatible with discoveries in quantum physics, is simultaneously
scientific and spiritual. In Dr. Newton’s own words:
The research was painfully
slow, but as the body of my cases grew
I finally had a working model of the eternal
world where our souls live. I found thoughts
about the spirit world involve universal
truths among the souls of people living
on Earth. It was these perceptions by so
many different types of people which convinced
me that their statements were believable.
I am not a religious person, but I found
the place where we go after death to be
one of order and direction, and I have
come to appreciate that there is a grand
design to life and afterlife.
In his follow-up book, DESTINY
OF SOULS, Newton draws on his regressions
of some 70 clients to explore his hypotheses:
that between death and reincarnation,
discarnate souls are able to contact
loved ones and comfort them… that
we can have one partner throughout many
lives… and the existence of nonhuman
manifestations of spirits on Earth, including
elves, fairies and ghosts. He even takes
on the idea of ‘evil spirits’ with
a new and thoughtful twist.
Full of interviews
and fascinating first-person
narratives, Newton’s
works are wonderful companions to those who have loved COURAGEOUS
SOULS and want to learn more about the life-between-lives phenomenon.
